I never imagined a decade ago that I would be working with sheep everyday- rain, snow, warm or frigid. My degree was in Education and I had been running my town’s Even Start Program when my mother had her first stroke. While she recovered, I was in charge of her farm. Shortly after that Even Start was eliminated from the Federal budget and we were forced to shut our doors. After her second stroke in 2912, it became apparent that she would not be returning to the farm so I had a decision to make……I choose to keep the sheep with who I had developed a special bond.  And this is how I became a sheep farmer.
